We offer several eBooks and a publish a bi-monthly newsletter called Digging Deeper Into the Pile.
Questions About Composting
For questions about composting, please take the following steps:
1. Check our lists of teleclasses and eBooks to see if we have materials that answer your questions.
2. Subscribers may refer to the web site contents in the Subscriber's Area of the site. A list of Site Contents may be found on the Home Page. A major portion of the questions we receive are already covered on the site.
3. Subscribers may refer to our FAQ Page which is also on the Subscriber Area of the site.
4. Subscribers may also submit questions to the editor through the contact form or by snail-mailing their question to the address above. Answers appear in the newsletter.
5. Post your question to the Compost Message Board. Many experienced home composters participate in this board!
We do not have resources to answer individual composting issues by email. Composting questions submitted to us will be answered in the "Ask Mary" section of the newsletter if space permits. Questions may be edited for length or clarity. Similar or related questions may be grouped together as a single question for the publication. Thank you.
Submission of Local Home Composting Program Information
The "Local Programs" and "Compost Education: Local" sections list web sites offering Master Composter programs, home composting training, compost demonstration areas, and compost programs by non-profit and for-profit organizations, subject to the approval of www.mastercomposter.com™. There is no charge for non-profit programs, an annual fee for for-profit businesses. See more information here. The local program is responsible for the accuracy of the data, as well as submitting timely updates as necessary. Please submit your local program. We like for the list to be as complete as possible. We do NOT have a list of individual Master Composters. If you are trying to locate someone, take a guess at where they live and look up the Local Program Contact for that area in the NetLinks/Local Program section of this site. Contact them.
