Link Exchange Policies for Netlinks Directory Thank you for your interest in our Netlinks Directory. These instructions are for adding links to the Traded Links category. The other categories are reserved for links to sites we feel would benefit our site users, usually because they have related information which we do not cover on our site. If we feel that your site should be suggested to our site visitors, we will put it in the appropriate category, and will probably change your description. If you have a local composting program, see Local Programs policies instead. As silly as it seems to have policies for trading links, it is necessary. You would be amazed at some of the things people want us to list. Pre-coded links to our site are provided for your convenience in installing a reciprocal link, just scroll down past the policies. |
2. Description limited to 75 words.
The description is limited to 75 words. We will edit or truncate your submission if it is over this limit. We reserve the right to edit, change, or delete any description. We are especially sensitive to unproven or exaggerated claims.
3. Use the category "Traded Links".
The other categories are really for Mary's personal suggestions (especially for products and services), partners, and some of our advertisers.
If you'd like to submit a product for review, use the Contact Us form and let us know.
4. Only one link allowed.
Only one link per reciprocated link is allowed per person, web site, or enterprise.
When you submit your link, you will get a page explaining that the submission will be reviewed before being posted to the directory. If you do not see this page, your link was not submitted. There really should be an error page saying you have submitted more than one link, but at present there is not. Technical support has been notified.
5. A reciprocal link to our web site or one of our web pages is required.
In order to be listed in our directory's traded links, you must reciprocate with a link from the site whose link was submitted. You may link to www.mastercomposter.com, one of the pages within www.mastercomposter.com, or one of our eBook pages on www.booklocker.com.
We will check your site to ensure this link has been uploaded before we add your link to our directory. We will not drill down more than 3 levels from your home page. If it won't be obvious where the link will be, make a note at the conclusion of your description so we can find it. We can edit that part out of your description.
We reserve the right to refuse to accept or to cancel any link for any reason, without notice, based solely on our own discretion. If a link no longer works, we may delete it. It is your responsibility to send updates if information changes. Send updates with the words "REPLACE REQUEST" in all caps at the beginning of the description. (These two words will be deleted from the description by us.)
